IFP can assist with the transfer of any cargo between any sized ships and all Ship to Ship transfers are carried out as per OCIMF guidelines.
Malta - Geographically positioned in the centre of the Mediterranean, an island that offers all maritime facilities including STS services for all grades of cargo.
STS ops are conducted at Hurd Bank area, this is a shallow bank situated outside the Maltese Territorial waters where it makes it viable for Ships to drop anchor
while waiting for the STS or even conducting the STS at anchor.
Augusta - This location has played a vital part for charterers who are on deadlines to deliver their cargoes.
This is situated just around 90nm from Hurd bank Malta and in the central of the Mediterranean Sea, making it within distance for vessels which are sailing from either the East or West. Augusta is situated in such a location which is sheltered from the prevailing North westerly winds that commonly hit the Maltese islands during the winter months.
Laconia Bay - This location provides sheltered conditions from most wind/swell directions which usually are found in other Mediterranean locations.
Therefore minimising disruptions of operations and making it easier to execute an STS in a safe manner, continually throughout all the year.
Cyprus - Our base here has been set up for over five years and has offered a great solution for our clients who are operating on the eastern side of the Mediterranean Sea.
This location is strategically positioned a few hours away from the exit of the Suez Canal and the Dardanelles strait which are among the busiest shipping routes.
Ceuta - The Strait of Gibraltar connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean and separates southernmost Spain from northernmost Africa also known as the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea.
Offshore Ceuta provides alternatives for our clients and charterers for cargoes entering from the Atlantic Ocean or leaving the Mediterranean Sea, it also provides an alternative to conducting
the STS operation at Gibraltar bay especially when faced with night time berthing restrictions and congestion within this port.
The STS operation is conducted in International Waters and vessels remain underway/adrift all through the STS operation. IFP can handle any sized ships at this location and are able to transfer
DPP, CPP and LPG cargoes.
